Is there a special puller you need to remove the stator (A/C Generator assembly)? My bike is a 1996 HRC RS125. Is there a part common to most local auto parts stores that will work?

There is absolutely no way you can tell if it needs replating from those pictures. Tdub

...as noted, there are two things that define the m/c: piston diameter and distance from pivot to piston. we only have one number, so dont get too hung up on it unless you have the other to compare ...

bottom line: if it works acceptably on an R1 w/ two calipers, it will not work properly w/ a single caliper on the RS.

unless you like an ungodly hard pull...or an r1 caliper has tiny sized pist ...
